VESS Welcomes Daniel Furiak to lead pentagon and marine corps Initiatives

VESS is pleased to welcome Daniel Furiak, Master Gunnery Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.) who, as senior advisor and liaison, will work with VESS’s Department of War (DOW) team and capital hill representatives to lead VESS initiatives for the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, and DHS within the Pentagon. Dan will specifically focus on introducing and deploying VESS’s portfolio including the new Jackal program for perimeter security and mission intelligence for military bases, U.S. Embassy’s, and coalition installations, both domestic and abroad.

Dan is a senior logistics and sustainment expert with over 30 years of military service and post-retirement leadership in defense consulting. He retired in 2017 following a distinguished career that culminated at the Pentagon, where he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to two Deputy Commandants.

Throughout his military career, Dan led operations across seven combat tours and multiple humanitarian and stability missions. Since retiring, he has transitioned into the private sector, first as a Senior Analyst, then as a Principal at a leading Washington D.C. consulting firm, and now as a strategic advisor.

Dan specializes in Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) support and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning. His Pentagon experience enables him to navigate complex Department of Defense funding processes and strategic planning cycles.
